July Garden update

The garden is producing!!! Here is the first zucchini from the garden! It was delicious!

This is what happens when you break open some fermented gourds in your compost pile! Very cool! I cant wait to see what they grow!

The back yard, to the right are the apple trees that are doing great!

Raised beds, the lettuce and spinach in the left bed are done and gone to flower. I need to pull them out and replant. They did great and we got some really good salad outta there! The tomatoes and peppers in the right are taking off like crazy! I am going to have a TON of tomatoes!!!

Pumpkins and sunflowers are loving their sunny spot on the side of the house!

Front yard is finally filling in. Seeds take forever to grow.....

I put strawberries and a sun-gold tomato in the front bed, thats been a fun little treat!

My herb bed is really looking nice, and the grass is finally growing. Apparently grass needs a lot of water to grow......oops!

Summer time and the livin is easy.....

This summer is flying by as they always do....We are finally getting some good weather. Its been much cooler than usual and a lot more rain. My garden appreciates it, but the humans sure dont.

After our month + of weekends at the coast we finally spent a few weekends at home.....one weekend it rained, so we just chilled indoors. The second weekend was hot, thank goodness because we had out door birthday parties to attend!

Lucy and I chillin at a friends bday party.

My little nut job! What a goof! He actually looked really cute in this hat, but refused to give me his model face for the picture......

She had no problem with her model face.....

The kids started swim lessons.....2 weeks, 4 days a week. They are loving it and doing a great job! This should help with some of our water fears.....

On the 26th we celebrated the kitties 1st birthday! The kids each picked out a yummy can of cat food for them and we all sang happy birthday. The cats were appreciative....

Lummi Escape

A rare occasion took place last weekend. Bob and I took a little trip up to Lummi Island with out kids. So we played like adults.......As you can see mom and I are very mature adults......

What do you think of our shades? Very cool I know!
The weekend was filled with beach combing, a little kayaking, eating seafood, watching the sun set, rummage sales, farmers market, fireworks, chasing a 15 month old, and lots of laughs.

As I said, fireworks......boys will be boys and want to blow things up. And they did, and it was very entertaining!!! I love this action shot of Bob.

Little miss Isis Moon came to hang with us for a few days, it was very fun. She is a cutie!!!

We took off to the farmers market and I packed her around in my front pack, she loved it and so did I!

Visited Mom at work. Bought some plants for the garden, always fun!

Dinner out at the sushi place on the marina. Great sushi and then a really nice walk admiring the marina gardens.

This is just from one morning at the beach.....I killed Bob in our little competition.....

He did pretty good to......dont let his sad face fool you!!!

And on our way back home we stopped off at Grandma Toots' for some coffee, strawberries in ice cream and a garden tour!

Awwww now back to reality......I kinda liked the escape......
